EXERISE: Exercise bike, 30 minutes burned 150 calories

Today was a strange day I didn’t do very much beside watch YouTube videos. I slept a lot better as I was not coughing as much it looks like this cough is on its way out. I got some Tesco shopping in and I was excited for the nori sheets as I could get creative and I must admit I pigged out on them as I enjoyed them so much I ended up have 3 in total one lot with the guacamole and the other 2 with the hummus and it really filled me up. I was talking to my sister and I was telling her what I was going to eat and she said it sounded delicious.

I am making a point of doing some kind of exercise every day so I got on my bike even though I didn’t feel like it but I am glad that I did. I feel like I am losing weight every day but to be sure I will weigh myself at the gym tomorrow.

Changing the subject and this is something I have not mentioned before but I am currently having the first period in about 2 years! I was looking at my face this morning and noticed the spots I used to get when I was coming on and my tummy was feeling a bit wield I thought it was the brazil nuts but it wasn’t I have just come on, I will record how long it lasts as they used to be one week at a time regular as clock work, today is 12th July. It’s like my body is repairing itself so I am not sure what the cough is about then? No wonder I didn’t feel like exercising, tomorrow is going to be fun in the gym lol.

DAY TWENTY SIX

DAY TWENTY SIX

Organic boxes

Juice – home grown wheatgrass, fresh parsley, carrots, cucumber, apples, lemon, ginger

Smoothie – cos lettuce, banana, blue berries and chia seed

Large salad – cos lettuce, yellow peppers, plum tomatoes, avocado, spring onion, orange, black and green olives, red pepper hummus

Half of mango, 2 apples

2 bananas

Some Brazil nuts and dates

Camomile tea
EXERCISE – gym machines and weights, aqua aerobics

I harvested my wheatgrass and put it in my juice this morning and I was secretly chuffed as that stuff is really expensive and I grew some in my kitchen for £1.95! If you go Holland and Barrett that starting price of a small bag is £10?
According to Hippocrates Health Institute, It is a powerful concentrated liquid nutrient. Two ounces of wheatgrass juice has the nutritional equivalent of five pounds of the best raw organic vegetables. For example, wheatgrass has twice the amount of Vitamin A as carrots and is higher in Vitamin C than oranges! It contains the full spectrum of B vitamins, as well as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and potassium in a balanced ratio. Wheatgrass is a complete source of protein, supplying all of the essential amino acids, and more. It has about 20% of total calories coming from protein. This protein is in the form of poly peptides, simpler and shorter chains of amino acids that the body uses more efficiently in the blood stream and tissues. In addition to flooding the body with therapeutic dosages of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, and phytonutrients, wheatgrass is also a powerful detoxifier, especially of the liver and blood.
It helps neutralize toxins and environmental pollutants in the body. This is because Wheatgrass contains beneficial enzymes that help protect us from carcinogens, including Superoxide Disumates (SOD), that lessens the effects of radiation and digest toxins in the body. It cleanses the body from head to toe of any heavy metals, pollutants and other toxins that may be stored in the body’s tissues and organs. There is more information but I thought it was too much to put in my journal but saved the page for future use http://hippocratesinst.org/benefits-of-wheatgrass-2

Got my organic boxes this morning and I was very disappointed, I got on the phone and cancelled but investigated alternative boxes because I do live in the Kent the garden of England. Turns out there is a community garden around the corner and it dirt cheap so will be doing that instead only this is it’s not delivered I have to go pick up but for the price it’s worth it and it an excuse for more exercise lol.
I really enjoyed the gym today and I had loads of energy, but I also sweat a Hugh amount too far more than I used to I guess that is a good thing. On my way out the gym my friend Gary called have not spoken to him in a good while and he was threatening to come down I told him I was vegan now and he laughed, he is meant to be coming to see me next weekend and to go to the sauna so we shall see.

Is it me or are my meals getting simpler and or smaller or am I getting bored and not sure what to eat? I think I got into a routine juice and or smoothie then salad and if I get hungry then fruit or dip with crackers and or veg, I think I was more adventurous in the beginning and it was actually fun will have to go back to that I think, getting some shopping form tesco and included in that is nori sheets I feel nori rolls coming on lol.

DAY TWENTY FIVE

TWENTY FIVE

Half of melon

Smoothie – spinach, bananas and frozen pineapple, mango and papaya.

Whole pineapple cut up

Smoothie - Almond milk, frozen bananas and dash of agave nectar

Some brazil nuts and dates

Tea – green tea with lemon and ginger tea bag

EXERCISE – exercise bike, half hour, burned 150 calories.

I woke up in a good mood very alert but still with this cough so I thought going to a spa hoping it would help specifically a steam room. Luckily, my membership to the gym let’s me use all the council gyms in Kent so I went to Ramsgate and really enjoyed it, I even washed and deep conditioned my hair an it was only £2 but for that price; I can only go o Sunday between 7 and 9pm any other time it would cost 13.50.

I thought I would be really hungry when I got back I wasn't so I thought I better have something so a made the almond milk smoothie from left over in the fridge.
I started reading 80/10/10 and it’s an interesting read siting that fruit should be our primary source with 10% protein and 10% fat. I have already started cutting down on fat anyway but it is hard to do especially when it comes to salad dressings, will have to find recipes that are oil and fat free.
I am also finding that I don’t need that much sleep anymore and I still wake up alert and ready for whatever, wondering if this is a temporary thing even with the sauna which I thought would knock me out didn’t I was up until 2.30 and still woke up at 7pm.
